November 17, 2020

The Wilmington Housing Authority has made the decision to withdraw from the competition for HUD's "Move to Work" or "MTW" designation at this time.

Because of the difficulties posed by the pandemic, it is not possible to inform and engage our residents as thoroughly as we had planned.

WHA believes there are some significant benefits to participating in MTW but we believe that full and complete resident participation is essential before such a significant commitment can be made.  If, as we all hope, a safe vaccine makes it safe for us to engage in authentic resident consultation, we reserve the right to start this process over.

Thank you.
